Globe Telecoms to roll out USD700M worth of Network Upgrade

Globe is set to rock the entire nation with its ambitious USD700M project to be rolled out in 18 months. Huawei, the Chinese vendor won the project together with Frech company Alcatel-Lucent.

In a press conference held yesterday, Globe Chair Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala shared that the project will included end to end solutions, making Globe Telecoms ready in all category in the mobile business. LTE ready infra, all IP-infra, pervasive 3G coverage, double fiber optics capacity to name a few.

Earlier that day, the contract signing was witnessed by no less than HE President Benigno Aquino III at the Palace together with his few Cabinet Members. Top executives from SingTel, Huawei and Alcatel were also present.
